Thank you to all the GEMStones and their moms who showed up for Parent’s night. Parents, if you missed it, it’s not too late to get all the information you need about GEMStones. Please check your bulletin for contact information or see us after service to pick up your info packet in the foyer. Also, GEMStones, don’t forget to sign up for our exciting events coming up this month: On Saturday, February 20, Rubies will meet at the Rosa Parks Museum for a time to tour the museum and a time to chat. Information about costs and schedule for each of these events will be available at sign up. Also, moms don’t forget to turn in your required forms by February 7. We have an exciting year planned for GEMStones and we don’t want your daughters to be left out. |

Haiti Earthquake Relief
The continual news reports coming out of Haiti are both heartwrenching and heartwarming.
The earthquake that struck the island Tuesday, January 12th has devastated an already impoverished nation. Thousands upon thousands of bodies are piling up in Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas, and health experts are doing all they can with limited resources and personnel. The people of the city have been forced to bury the dead in mass graves in order to protect those who survived.
